About Us
We’re a boutique nursery located on the northwest side of Lansing, MI. We grow and sell berry bushes, culinary and medicinal herbs, native perennials, and other beneficial plants—perfect for edible landscapes, gardens, and backyard ecosystems.
Fruitful Landscapes grew out of our passion for growing food at home and helping others do the same. Over the last decade, we’ve transformed our own yard into a productive and beautiful landscape—and now we share our love of plants with others through our backyard nursery.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Homegrown Compost & Custom Potting Mix: Most of our nursery plants are grown in our own compost-based potting mix—usually about 50% homegrown compost blended with high-quality purchased compost and organic nutrients.
No Synthetics, No Sprays: We never use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides on our plants.
Thoughtful Sourcing: Occasionally, we offer plants we didn’t grow ourselves. When we do, they’re always repotted into our organic potting mix and cared for with the same natural methods as everything else we grow.
Repurposed Pots: We do our best to reduce plastic waste by reusing nursery pots. Many of our pots are sourced from local landscapers and given a second life in our nursery — and we’re always happy to take back pots from any plants you’ve purchased from us!

We invite you to visit our backyard nursery and explore what’s in stock. Since we’re a small, home-based operation, visits are by appointment only.

Our preferred method of payment is cash, but we also accept checks or Venmo.
